Data Catalog
The Jena Experiment has established itself as a data base platform of biodiversity research.
The data management provides an environment for data storage and interchange.
Data are deposited into the central database since 2002, resulting in more than 1000 single datasets.
The dataset being assembled allows (and will do even more so as time progresses) for comparative studies of functions and
provides a broad base to investigate the differential effects of biodiversity on different processes.
A close collaboration was established with the Biodiversity exploratory project since 2009. That exploits
a template of the database and information system (www.biodiversity-exploratories.de)
to constrain the data storage (including the metadata, general history of our project) and access problem.
Currently the database is online for the members of the Jena Experiment.
