The Weimar-Jena Phenomenon is clearly shaped by the structures of natural science. The recognized cognitive processes in the field of natural history refer to this fact. However, its singularity does not consist in the structures themselves but rather in the productive unity and dynamics of the ensemble and in its integration within the international scientific context of 1800.
