About the Project
|
||||
|
The project will continue
to investigate the interrelation between natural philosophy, natural
science and engineering/technology, paying particular attention
to the relation between university and non-university institutions.
On the one hand, the complex area of chemical engineering is of
interest, and on the other hand the natural science curriculum that
was developing in the schools. From the perspective of literary
studies the project examines furthermore the connection between
text practices and the differentiation of the disciplines around
1800. These analyses will be complemented by a summary which presents
Schelling's Natural Philosophy as a theory of science. more
