  • 9 - 10 Juni, 2005: Workshop on “Latent Moderator Models“. The workshop will be led by Andreas Klein (University of Illinois, USA). Prof. Klein will present new software which has some advantages compared to LISREL and AMOS regarding the parameter estimates. The workshop takes place at Humboldtstrasse 11, room 109 and 114 (Lab).

Events in October 2003

  • October, 3 and 4: Workshop “Research synthesis, evidence based policy and evaluation”

    Discussion will focus on the three main topics “Research Synthesis”, “Intervention Planning” and “Intervention Evaluation”.
    As a result of the workshop, a conception of a working unit “intervention” as a part of the research group is planned. Different competences should be concentrated in this working unit: (a) the recherche, validation and preparation of the empirical status in the field of basic and applied research in order to improve intergroup relations, (b) the development of concepts of evidence-based intervention and eventually the initiation of respective implementations and (c) the evaluation of measures, leading to the improvement of the relations between social groups.

Additional guest lectures in the context of the research colloquium will be:

  • October, 23: Hans Oswald (Institut für Pädagogik, Universität Potsdam) speaking on the subject of "Rechtsorientierung und Ausländerfeindlichkeit von Jugendlichen in den neuen Bundesländern (Brandenburg): Zum Einfluss von Eltern und Gleichaltrigen". Location: Karl-Zeiß-Str. 3, Room 318.
  • October, 30: Klaus Boehnke (International University Bremen), speaking on the subject of “Ethnocentrism of Youth in Times of Rapid Social Changes”.
